I hope this letter meet you well? As much as I won't like to bore you with long talk, find below what I want to tell you👇
It has gotten to that stage where you have to sanitize what you call your circle of friends regardless of how long you've been coming together. This action doesn't make you ungrateful to those that stood when others left or shame those who left when needed most. This is just something for your growth and peace of mind which shouldn't be too much to risk doing.
There is this general quote that talks about 'you only live once' I hope you remember that we also die once but the worst of it is when you are now dead while alive, just breathing and wandering clueless just because of your choice of friendship circle
I believe one of the growth we all should be glad and happy about is when you let those who are meant to go to actually go rather than playing along in the friendship and deep down, you know its not benefiting you anyways. Grow up and move on, don't get stuck in playing along, it won't take you no where.
What impart is this person making in your life? Why do you still have them on your list? You don't like someone or something, yet you will be the one to ask about them around to be sure if they are talking about you- Joblessness of the highest level.
Why keep them when they ain't doing you any good? Negative vibe, set them free. Toxic friendship/relationship, cut them off and in the process of doing all this, reexamine yourself too and be sure you ain't the toxic one and I hope you stop the nonsense mentality of 'take and love me as I am or watch me as I go' Go, I beg of you, just go if you can't grow and appreciate your scars. Rather than work on getting better, you are looking for who to take nonsense. Grow up don't just grow old please, you will be glad you did.
Friendship is sweet even tho what we call friendship as a kid isn't what it is right now. Friendship that will make you fight now and sworn never to play with that person again but still go back and call that friend to come and see your new toy or your new shoes but now, a lot is living in fear of who is who and who to call friends when those who suppose to have your back are the one giving out your back out on a cheap price.
At this point, everyone should know who to shake and who to hold. Do what's needful and be prayerfully intentional about it. It may not be easy but some risk still worth taking!
May we find ourselves in the circle of those who will uplift and make us not in the circle of those that will mar us. Amen
