LILY Episode 7 (finale)

Lily
Story by O'nezer
Episode 7(finale)

"When I was nine, I was preparing for my secondary school entrance exams and you employed a home teacher for me. Mr. Barnabas. You two should remember?" I asked to refresh their memory, but they didn't give me an answer.

"He really did teach me well and continued where Uncle Chinedu stopped. I helped him play with his thing and he also had to lie down on me to help himself from dying. I enjoyed every bit of it because it was more than what I felt with Uncle. I always looked forward to his teaching, and he 'taught' me for a long time. You almost spoiled the show when you asked him to start teaching Chika. You had my baby brother, the lucky one around that time and you were always ever busy mummy. You never really came into the library to check on what the teacher was teaching and this gave him a hedge to involve Chika in our disgusting act. He played with Chika's private part and made me do the same. He asked Chika to lie on me and did as he did while I tell the difference" I was speaking quickly like the words were hot coals in my mouth.

Mummy had slumped to the floor and she sat there with her hands on her head like she was bereaved. Daddy held on to the ward's window like his strength depended on it.

"I was twelve years old when Mr. Barnabas stopped coming and since Chika was in the known of the act, I had to make do with him until he was eleven and he called me an animal one day. He promised to tell on me, but I never knew why he didn't. That is why myself and Chika are always at each others throats. He can never respect me." I heaved deeply and continued at Mrs Omolope's Beckon.

"Okay, since Chika couldn't help me anymore and my school was too strict, I prayed I graduate quickly and I did that same year. All the time I was away reading for my UTME exam, I was in a guy's house having sex. You felt Mr. Barnabas helped me intellectually, but I was naturally blessed. All that was necessary was to be in the class and listen to the teacher. I don't have to read. I used this as an advantage and explored until I gained admission to UNIBEN. I wanted to be far away from you two and that was why I didn't pick any University around Abia State." my eyes were itchy and I had to swallow hard to prevent any drop of tear.

"In school I met Josh and later Ben. I preferred Josh and I had planned not to have any other guy aside the two to help me with my sexual urge until I met Kunle and I found myself here, broken more than I ever was" I collapsed into Funmi's lap crying bitterly.

My attached hair had been removed and my hair was washed and packed in a bun. I cried on her lap and she simply rubbed my cheek and pat my shoulder softly.

"Thank you so much Lilian for helping us out" Mrs Omolope calmly shook my hand.

"This is not the time to blame anyone. Please, help Chika immediately. You can't leave him alone with what you already know. Once you get to Abia, please search out a therapist or a sexual abuse Counsellor for him. We have many of them out there" Mrs Omolope turned to mummy who was sobbing bitterly on the floor.

"That's all for now. I'll love you to excuse us. I need to be alone with Lilian" Mrs Omolope consoled my Mum as she helped her to her feet.

"She is staying!" I held Funmi's hand when Mrs Omolope signaled for her to leave.

"It's against my rules, but if you so wish" Mrs Omolope sat before me and dished out advice.

I cried as I listened intently and Funmi kept patting my shoulder. She is truly a good friend. My only blessing in UNIBEN.

Funmi had put a call through to my parents after reporting my unusual absence to the police. My parents came over two days after and she did well to host them leaving the room for them.
All through their visit for four months till I was found, Funmi took good care of my parents whenever they came around.

"My phone was taken from me and they tracked the location of your phone. I had called you over a hundred times till your phone was switched off" Funmi had narrated all to me.

*******

"You can be free again despite your hurts" Funmi whispered to my ears when Mrs Omolope was through.

"How? I have been broken beyond repair. I just want to run away to another land where nobody knows me" I replied on her shoulder.

"Run to Jesus" she said sniffing.

"You are still speaking about Jesus? You don't understand what I've been through?" I dabbed my eyes.

"I know. I have been in your shoes before, but I was rescued early. My case is similar to yours you know?" Funmi's words in my ear made me sit up and I looked her in the eyes.

"Tell me you're joking?" I held her hands like it will prove her sincerity.

"Yes dear!" she dropped a tear.
"Our married neighbour and my teacher from school" Funmi smiled amidst tears.

"Men are animals!" I screamed in tears. Why would such a lovely girl like this be abused? Thoughts flushed through my mind.

"Not MEN, just those men who are unable to control their sexual urge" Funmi corrected me.

"I want to be like you!" I knelt down before Funmi, crying and she stood up waving her hands in the air.

"To me, I never had thought I'll get married again, but like I told Funmi, I went to the south-west and started my degree afresh."

"I remember going home and kneeling beside Chika my younger brother pleading he forgive me and how he smiled, picked me up and embraced me. I knew better that all men are not animals"

"I am Lilian Chukwu, now Mrs Lilian Oladayo. I always look at my protruding belly and I promise my child to be there for him/her always. I understand my child needs me more than the money I want to give my child"

"I understand you were abused, molested and the urge within you had made you do unimaginable things, believe me friend, you can still be fixed. Open up NOW! Seek help to mend the broken tear before it gets worse and you makes you shattered. Jesus can fix you no matter how shattered you are, but you need to let Him have His way... Only Him can do, what no man can do.

LILY Episode 6

Lily
Story by O'nezer
Episode 6

"You two are to be blamed" I stared into my parents eyes simultaneously.

I could read confusion written on their face. But I wasn't moved a bit.

"When I was five years old, Uncle Chinedu my cousin came to live with us. You remember?" My parents nodded affirmative at my question. I could see dad's Adam apple moving up and down his throat.

"Daddy, you were always on a business trip and mummy was busy with what I wasn't sure of. At the time Uncle Chinedu came, you were few months pregnant with my younger brother, Chika." I paused to be sure mummy was listening.

"I remember" My Mum said in a way that made it plain she was nervous.

"I was always home alone with Uncle. You had admired the way we were close, but you felt it was normal. Uncle Chinedu was eighteen years old then. Few weeks of staying in our house and he invited me to his room. He asked me to help him rub his 'thing' that it was really painful and he might die if I don't help him. He warned me not to tell you as I might die if I should mention it to you. Well, I didn't understand death, but I had followed you to some burials before and I can tell death is not a beautiful thing. I helped him rub it as directed" I saw my dad's eyes all teary. I have never seen daddy cry before. Mummy was sniffing continually and Funmi held my hand so tight and I felt strong beside her.

"Few days into  rubbing uncle thing, uncle asked me to lie down naked. 'He said the way his thing was swelling each time I rubbed it might make it explode soon and the only way to cure it was for him to lie on me.' I obeyed and he pushed his fingers into me. I felt some sharp pain and a tingling feeling I didn't understand. I cried out in pain and Uncle told me he is sorry. He promised to buy me some things later during the day of which he did. Gradually, Uncle was able to penetrate and that was it for him. He came into my room when he felt like and I went into his room when I craved for the feelings of him. We were almost always alone at home except for the gateman who hardly came into the house. There was a day you came home late at night and you carried me from Uncle Chinedu's room to my room. You never suspected anything" I sniffed.

"How would I have suspected such between you two. You are related for goodness sake!" my Mum was shaking on the edge of the other bed she was sitting on.

"Well, too late for that" I smiled adjusting myself beside Funmi like I was about to give a verdict.

"When you had Chika, our adventure stopped. Guest were around and you stayed at home for over four months. Uncle Chinedu avoided me and I felt he was trying to protect me from you knowing so I won't die. When you resumed back to where you normally head to, we continued where we stopped. This went on for long. Unfortunately, few months after my seventh birthday, Uncle left the house. I cried and you felt I was missing him already." I shook my head disappointedly.

"That animal!" Mummy exclaimed dabbing her eyes with her handkerchief.

"Yes, that animal that is happily married with a beautiful daughter. I do check out his pictures on Facebook." I grinned holding Funmi's hand like I was about to break her bone.

"Gently. Take a deep breath and continue. Don't hold it back!" Mrs Omolope calmly beckoned.

"I was just seven and I didn't know what to do with the burning urge within me. I couldn't tell you, I didn't want to die. My school was so strict that the only time we were allowed to go out of the classroom was during lunch and it will be in the dining hall. There was no time to hang around with any boy and I couldn't tell my friends too" I turned to Funmi who smiled encouraging me to go on.

"Since I couldn't find a means, I turned to my two year old brother." I grinned as the words came out of my lips.

"Chineke! I'm finished!" My dad stood up abruptly like some needles had been placed on the chair for him. My Mum was just crying speechless.

"I didn't know what to do! I needed to satisfy my urge! It was burning and though I masturbated, I didn't even understand it to be masturbation. I placed my body on Chika severally, but I didn't feel anything. So I left him. Well, till he was a bit mature." I sighed.

"He needs a therapist too" I continued quite calmly.
"You don't want to know what he eventually knew and practiced" I smiled.

"Please, in the name of God, tell us everything you did to him too" my dad was almost kneeling down before me.

"Not me this time around" I almost screamed.

LILY Episode 5

Lily
Story by O'nezer
Episode 5

"What did she say?" I asked curiously. I had expected the worst. More than 20 different men had sex with me within the space of 4months and all out of my wish.

"It's nothing my dear" daddy placed his hand on my leg.

"You know I won't fall for that. Now tell me what he said. Am I pregnant or I have some deadly disease?" I asked without blinking. Such confidence to face my parents.

"Yes, you have some STD's that are being treated already, but no deadly disease." Dad said confidently.

"Then why the sad face?" I hissed not sure when I did that.

"Or am I pregnant?" I asked my parents to be sure.

"God forbid!" mummy snapped her fingers while daddy pulled a chair in the room closer to my bed.

"My daughter" daddy held my right hand.

"They can't discharge you yet as you will need to be in rehabilitation for a while"

"I don't need it!" I cut in with dad taking my hand away from his.

"You really do need this to be fine again" my dad's words felt like some kind of comical advice and I couldn't help myself from laughing so hard.

"Who told you I'll ever be fine again? I'm broken beyond repair! Don't you get it!" I cried out trying to drop a tear, but it failed me. Like a child pretending to be sober, I tried to force the tears, but no way.

It took my parents involving Funmi in the plea before I could give it a thought.

"I respect you so much and I'll do this because of you" I stared into Funmi's eyes some days later. I saw who I used to be and I regret all that had happened to me.

"Thank you twinie for accepting to be free" Funmi ever charming smile seems to revive my hope, but I wasn't sure what I was feeling. I only wanted to please everyone and probably start my life all over again somewhere else far away.

The day came and a Physiologist came into the hospital ward that morning and every other morning.

"I know you're broken, but you have to help yourself at this juncture" Mrs Omolope as she had formerly introduced herself advised.

"Are you a Professional at all?" I was filled with fury.

Mrs Omolope kept trying to make me talk about ME.

"Aside all that happened with Kunle, you are hiding a lot and you can't bottle it up forever, else it will explode within you and you will have to bear the brunt at the odd time. Face it now!" she almost screamed.

This had been our topic for days and I was tired of her telling me there was so much I'm yet to say. But this session with her, her last words before she bade goodbye for the day cut deep.

"I'll only talk when my parents are here" I sat up in bed as Mrs Omolope was about to turn the knobs of the hospital ward. It was a private ward and I had a room with two beds to myself.

"Are you sure? Is that what you want?" Mrs Omolope turned back and looked me in the eyes to be sure.

"If I wasn't sure, I wouldn't be telling you" I turned to lie down.

"Please, I'll love to have Funmi around whenever you fix the big talk to be" I rolled my eyes and placed my pillow right, listening to Mrs Omolope's footsteps as she walked out of the ward.

Funmi had told me that Kunle had been arraigned in the high court.

"You know it's a serious case. You need to be strong and ready to witness against that animal Kunle. I heard they are other girls who will witness against him too." Funmi narrated.

"Hmmm... Let's see how it goes." I knew I wasn't ready to face the shame, but Funmi had such control over me that made me succumb to her desire.

"Good morning beautiful ladies" Mrs Omolope walked into the ward looking more beautiful than I have ever known her to be.

"You look good today ma" I couldn't help but to compliment.

"Thank you!" she smiled confidently.

"Where are your parent?" Mrs Omolope asked turning her wrist to check the time.

"Maybe they are busy with some things" I smiled knowing how ever busy my parents could be save for the situation I'm in.

"Let's wait for some minutes before we place a call through to them. They are lodging in the guest house and due to the crowd, they might have issues getting ready on time" Mrs Omolope encouraged.

We waited and kept talking along side Funmi when my parents came in.

"Finally" I muttered looking at them with disgust.

"We are sorry for keeping you waiting. We had issues taking our bath due to the crowd in the guest house" Daddy explained quite nervous.

"I understand" Mrs Omolope calmly said.

I had always admired that about her. The way she handled provoking situations like it was nothing.

"She is really born for this" I shook my head in admiration as she directed my parents to sit down and Funmi sat beside me still holding my hand.

"Miss Lilian Chukwu, the floor is now yours, let's hear what you have to say and remember, do not try to bottle any bit of it in. Let it all out" Mrs Omolope said and her words reminded me that I'm not as strong as I thought.

I turned to mummy who was looking really nervous and daddy was obviously scared.

LILY Episode 4

Lily
Story by O'nezer
Episode 4

"No... Please! Please Kunle" I begged, struggling in Kunle's grip.

He had caught up with me. I kept holding on to the gate and watched as the man that had paved way for me rushed out of the compound.

"You think you are smart" Kunle twisted my hands behind me and I fell to the ground helpless.

"Kunle, what do you aim to gain from this?" I cried out as he tried to carry me on his shoulder.

"I aim to be richer through this. Fool!" his words cut deep into me and the strength I had moment ago, was nowhere to be found.

Like a sheep being led to the slaughter, Kunle carried me back to the room.

"Don't you ever try that with me again!" he exclaimed as he threw me to the bed and had sex with me, hurting me at each thrust.

"But why?" I cried as Kunle locked me in again.

Days turned weeks and the men never stopped coming. Some men I've seen twice or more times before and some, completely new faces. The number had increased to four men some other days.

"Sex slave!" I always smiled at myself each time I went to the bathroom.

Ruthless men trying out inhumane things with me, all I hoped for was death.

"A dog is better than me" I sometimes cried until I forgot how to cry.

That faithful day in what I imagined to be few months later, I heard cars screeched into the compound.

"How many men are coming for me this time?" I sobbed, feeling weak and unable to move on the bed.

I heard screams and men shouting. Doors opening and finally the door to the room where I was fluffed opened and I saw three policemen pointing a gun at Kunle who led the crew with hands above his head.

"finally" I smiled.

A petite, calm and sexy body came running in behind the policemen. She had always hate it when you call her sexy, but she knew she was and that was all I saw as Funmi rushed to me on the bed.

"Sweetie" Funmi picked my head and placed it on her laps as she sat on the bed.

"See what has become of you. Bruises everywhere!" she moved my disheveled hair attachment aside to see my face properly.

"Oh my God! The same hair you were wearing four months ago before you left home that faithful day" tears dropped from Funmi's face and I smiled as it touched my cheek. I closed my eyes and savoured the moment.

"Lily! Lilian!!" a known voice rushed me and I opened my eyes to the sight of my mum out running my dad towards my direction.

I could hear one of the policemen placing a call and the other two leading Kunle out of the room with his hands cuffed to the back.

"My daughter" tears flowed down mummy's eyes as she had a clear view of me. It was then I realized there were more than three policemen around.

Pictures were taken and Funmi was forced to leave me in bed. My dad stood awestruck and my Mum kept pacing around the room with her hands on her head.

"The ambulance is here" one of the policemen beckoned as I heard sirens outside the house.

"I'm finally leaving this dungeon, but rescue should have come sooner than now" a tear dropped as I was lifted into the stretcher and wheeled out of the room.

"You will be alright" Funmi held my hand tight keeping pace with the stretcher and sat with me in the ambulance as the Doctors attended to me.

"I'm sorry Funmi" I heaved my first sigh of relief in a long while.

"You don't have to say anything" Funmi said from a distance in the ambulance.

I was admitted into the Federal Medical Center in Benin. Test were being carried out and the policemen kept coming in for statements.

"She is recuperating gradually, but she needs a therapist" the Doctor in charge said to my Mum.

"I'll love to see you and her dad in my office" Doctor Peters continued.

I had seen the tag on her overall and I was grateful a female Doctor was in charge of my case, not a male.

"I would have sworn they are all animals, but my dad and brothers are male and I still love them" I consoled myself.

I saw the look on my mum's face as she came into the ward. Mummy was never good at hiding feelings. Dad was well composed, but mummy failed him, whatever it was the Doctor told them, mummy wasn't comfortable with it.

LILY Episode 3

Lily
Story by O'Nezer
Episode 3

"What is all this I've gotten myself into?" I sobbed silently as my hands dwindled like a pendulum behind the man carrying me on his shoulder.

My hair had covered my face and I was feeling too weak to raise my head to see where we were heading to.

"Drop her there!" I heard Kunle's voice followed the creak of a door.

"Where are we?" I asked faintly as he threw me on a bed.

I didn't need anyone to tell me we were in the second room of the house.

"Why did you bring me here?" I tried to scream, but my voice came out in whispers.

"You will soon get to know" Kunle said as he smirked making me wish I had a gun.

"She's all yours!" Kunle said and gave one of the guys a pat on the back and turned to leave almost immediately which resulted in them hailing him.

"Get away from me!"

"Shut up! And don't ever think of charging us with rape since well, you walked into this house without coercion" The guy in red shirt said as he unbuttoned.

He pounced on me and pressed me against the bed, covering me completely with his body. He held his face a few inches above me and I swear I could perceive alcohol on his breath which made my hair on end. He was drunk all this time? Oh God!

I screamed, trying to set myself free but it was futile. The other guy sat watching, waiting for his turn and an amused look spread across his face.

'Guy, hurry na' The other guy said.

"Please, Please, Please, let me go" I pleaded.

A resounding slap landed on my cheeks and  I blacked out.

After a while, i woke up to a now weaker body. The guys were already gone but i could feel the pain. I cried and cried until I couldn't anymore.

The door creaked open and as I looked up, I saw Kunle carrying a tray.
"Here is your meal and you better pull yourself together" He said.

"Here you go. Something to change into, you have a long way to go" Kunle placed the tray of food and a shopping bag with clothes in it on the only table in the room.

I didn't utter a word. It was then I examined the room properly. An empty wardrobe, an empty, dusty table that had what ought to be my meal on it, A door that leads to the bathroom and the bed I was sitting on without a bed spread. A tear dropped as I looked around, the windows firmly secured.

"I can never get out of this!" I cried silently.

"shhh... Baby girl, don't cry, you know you love me and I love you too" Kunle walked up to me on the bed. He cupped my cheeks in his hand and I spat into his face.

"You are smart!" I saw the fury in his eyes, but I cared less what he was about to do.

Kunle pulled out his belt. I thought he was about having sex with me, but he beat me up. I cried, pleading as I turned around on the bed, but he didn't bulge. Kunle beat me till he was satisfied.

"You don't mess with me!" Kunle screamed holding my face up from the bed.

"This is all you can do" I pushed his hands away crying bitterly.

Each day became a nightmare for me. I lost count of the days, but I knew I had been here for over two weeks.

"Funmi would have been worried sick. The poor girl, I didn't even tell her where I was heading to. Her exams won't go smoothly" I heaved a deep sigh as I thought about Funmi.

"Mummy and Daddy would have informed the police now, but how would they find me here?" I sniffed and made for the bathroom.

I looked around to see if I could find any object that I could use to break the bathroom window so I'd escape, but then my mind flashed back to the burglary proof I had seen the day I arrived here.

"I would never get out of here" I said as i sat in the bath tub.

The door to the room opened slightly and I knew my time in the bath was over. My ordeal was each day, two men came in at different intervals to have sex with me and they made me do irritating and unimaginable things with them.

"Another animal is here" I shook my head as I walked out of the bathroom to the sight of a man I would never have agreed to have sex with despite my promiscuous ways.

"Abeg do quick. I don pay your money" he beckoned.

The door was always locked from behind by whom I suppose to be Kunle. There was no way of escape. I had to lie down for this stinking man as he breathed heavily upon me like every other men.

"This is what you got yourself into" I cried as he had his way.

He was not the fourth or the tenth face I'll see since I was held in that room. Some days, I had to have 3 men. They came at intervals and some even spent the night. Nights of being molested without uttering a word. Nights of being beaten silly because I refused a style they needed.

"I curse the day I met you Kunle!" I screamed as I pushed the man running up and down on me to the floor.

I pinned him to the wall, biting and kicking him hard against the wall. He tried to fight back, but he was no match for the sudden strength I had.

"Son! Abeg open the door!" he screamed banging on the door.

I didn't let him go. I didn't care if I was naked, I just wanted out!

"You will pay for all the welts  I have suffered" I continued beating him until the door opened.

He rushed out, with his trousers in his hands and I rushed after him.

"Finally!" my heart leaped as I pushed Kunle away running after the man.

I was running after the man and Kunle was running after me. I was ready to out run this man.

"I'm not going back into that dungeon" I encouraged myself and out ran the man who was now dead scared of me.

"Lilian!" I could hear Kunle screaming, but I didn't stop.

I turned the knobs of the main door and rushed outside naked. I saw my car neatly packed, but dusty in a corner of the compound.

"I'm free" I screamed and made for the gate of the compound.

LILY Episode 2

Lily
Story by O'nezer
Episode 2

Kunle and I had been chatting for a while now. I got to know he was in his final year studying Linguistics while I was in my second year studying History and International Studies

"Can we meet at the school cafeteria tomorrow?" Kunle asked.

"Yes, being a Saturday, I'll be free" I beamed a fulfilling smile at my phone screen I typed. As usual, we were chatting.

Saturday morning, I was up early. At the set time, I was ready in a mini red gown with black wedge shoes to compliment.

"I would have asked Funmi to assess me before I leave, but I knew better to leave without asking" I thought as I took a final look into the mirror.

"Babe, see you in the evening" I said to Funmi, picking my car key and ignoring her snub as I walked out of the house.

"I would have loved to go with her car, but thank God my car isn't that bad" I muttered as I drove off.

Kunle was already in the cafeteria waiting for me. He looked more cute this morning.

"You're welcome. I thought you changed your mind" he walked up to me and led me to his seat.

"Who would ignore a cutie like you?" I winked at him and he smiled.

We made our order and we got talking over our meal. I felt more than the urge to just have sex with Kunle, I felt a connection I couldn't explain. I tried to control myself and just go with the flow.

"I'll love this damsel to go home with me. She has no excuse, this is a weekend and I want to make it memorable for her" I felt jittery at his words. He knew what I was up for without asking.

"That won't be a bad idea" I smiled, looking into Kunle's eyes as I sipped on the fruit juice in my cup. He winked and I just wished we were in his house already.

Kunle came to the cafeteria with his car and I  had to follow in my own car as he took the lead. My mind was filled with thoughts as we drove down the path leading to his house.

"Why do I feel somehow following Kunle to his house? This isn't my first time naw" I tried to be composed as I zoomed into a compound behind Kunle's car.

The area looked deserted, but I felt it was one of those buildings that stands as the first house in an area.

"You're welcome to my abode" Kunle said opening the door to the apartment for me.

It is a two bedroom flat with perfect decor and the gadgets were all glittering.

"A beautiful place you have here." I smiled complimenting him.

"But you don't live alone?" I asked quite nervous.

"Yes my Princess. I live alone." he turned on the flat screen TV on wall and held me up as I tried to sit.

"Not so fast" I shook off his hands from my face.

"I don't waste time" his voice sent chills down my spine and since I was used to this, I gave in.

From the living room to his bedroom, Kunle had his fill of me and even made me try out some styles I would have never imagined. I felt drained out the next morning, but he was still very much strong before I slept off. For the first time, I was scared of having sex. I searched the room for my phone, but then I realized it was in the living room.

"Gosh! And I'm really exhausted" I struggled out of bed with pangs of pain on my waist as I made for the door. I turned the knob and it was locked.

"What is going on here?" I worked my hand through my disheveled hair.

"Kunle! Kunle! Are you at home? Please get me my phone" but my voice was the only response that echoed back to me. I crawled back to the bed feeling sleepy.

"Here you are" a bang on the big wardrobe in the room woke me up.

"You are back?" I scrubbed my eyes and my nose too.

"But you didn't have to lock me in. I might...." it was then I looked up and realized the choking smell I felt after the bang was oozing from Kunle's nose.

"Kunle! What are you doing with that" I coughed as the room was now becoming unbearable for me.

Kunle simply smiled and sat on the bed as I rushed into the bathroom, the only place free from the choking smell of what I felt might be 'weed'

"Where are you running to" Kunle grinned as I made for the bathroom.

I came out minutes later with his towel tied to my chest as I made for the door.

"Where is my cloth? Funmi must be dead worried about me now" I tried to open the door only to turn a locked knob.

"Where is the key?" I turned feeling disappointed.

"I wasn't in for another round of sex from this animal in human form" I thought as I placed my back on the door asking for the key.

"So you thought you could leave so easily?" Kunle walked up to me with a wicked smile, but his cuteness made him look sexy.

"No one comes into a lions den and expect to go unhurt, except, you know, maybe the lion isn't in the den" Kunle placed his hand on the door across my head.

He overshadowed me and his height was one of the many things that made me long for him, but now all that was scary as he whispered into my ears kissing my neck down to my shoulders.

"I'm sorry Kunle" I whispered back to Kunle, but he already picked me up and threw me to the bed. Another round of gruesome sex that left me in pains.

Kunle turned to a corner of the room and picked the key under a box. I was too weak to run after him to make it on time out of the house. I tried standing up to see if there is anything that could be of help in the room, but my waist hurt bitterly. I cried my eyes out and screamed for help, but everywhere was quiet.

"What have I gotten myself into?" I cried as I crawled out of bed trying to stand on my feet. I fell back severally, but I was determined to get out of the house.

"I should be able to get a cloth here"
I hobbled to Kunle's wardrobe, searching through this clothes. I picked one of his underwear and wore a T-shirt that looked quite fitting on me.

"There should be a way out" I said as I made for the bathroom looking around for any object I could find to break the door.

"Soaps and soaps!" I cried as I searched through the bathroom shelf.

I had footsteps and I rushed out of the bathroom, but I was surprised when I saw Kunle with two hefty guys at the door of the room.

"What is he up to now?" my heart skipped a beat at the thought.

"Kunle, I'm sorry! If I've ever done you wrong, please forgive me" I fell to my knees. I was too weak to take whatever he was up to, but I prayed it was something positive.

"Sweet babe, you look cute in my cloth and that underwear fit you right well" Kunle picked me up and admired his cloth on me. I felt relieved a bit.

"Hey, you can take her away" Kunle beckoned to the guys waiting at the door.

"Take me where?" I screamed and struggled as one of the guys picked me up in his shoulder. I cried and struggled, but I was no match for him. So I gave up.

LILY Episode 1

Lily
Story by O'nezer

Episode 1

"That guy is hot!" I exclaimed to Funmi my roommate that fateful afternoon as we got into our room after the day's lecture.
Myself and Funmi were just two years in the prestigious University Of Benin. I met Kunle at the cafeteria and he was all shades of cute. You know, those guys that send chills down your spine and you can't help but desire to be the lucky one. I wondered where he had been all my two years in school without our paths crossing, but that didn't matter to me. What really mattered at the moment was getting close to Kunle.
"I can't wait to have that guy. Don't you get it!" I screamed at Funmi who was trying to talk me out of the many guys I had.
I didn't bulge. I've known Funmi to be the spiritual sister I never had. She is provoking, but sweet and sincerely friendly. A shoulder to lean on during my worst moment.
Funmi and I had been roommates since we gained admission into the University. We met at the entrance of a lodge we both admired and we couldn't stop staring at each other due to our striking resemblance.
"I would have sworn my mother had twins at my birth if not that my dad was present in the delivery room and saw how I came to this world" Funmi smiled as we both agreed to share the same room that kicked a splendid friendship for us; the "look alikes."
I hail from Abia State and I had all I ever needed at my disposal. Mummy was a senior nursing officer, while dad, a business man that earned millions of Niara every now and then. Funmi Adeleke, my 'roomie' like I fondly call her, was the only daughter of her parents and she was cared for like a baby. Our lives were admirable.
"I can't wait to see Kunle again. He had his eyes on me" I continued, but Funmi wasn't having all of that. She felt I was too promiscuous and she paid little or no attention to me as she busied herself with the fish sauce she was making.
"So my words doesn't make sense to you huh?" I walked up to Funmi smacking her butt.
"If I catch you ehn!" she left her pot of sauce pointing her cooking spoon at me.
Few days after seeing Kunle, I never saw his shadow again, so I quickly got my mind off him.
"After all, I have Ben and Josh and we are still in a relationship" I laughed so hard at the thought of the word 'relationship'.
"Who has a relationship with more than two guys at a time and still crushing on another guy" I kept thinking as I walked into my lecture hall.
"Lilian Chukwuebuka!" A known voice brought me out of my thought and I turned to look back at Ben staring at me and making to hold my hand.
"Why have you been avoiding me?" Ben asked still holding my hand and fondling it, ignoring the stare from other students.
"I've been busy dear. Our exams are here and you know I need to concentrate" I explained, but I was feeling uncomfortable. Not because Ben was holding my hand, but due to the burning sensation running through my body.
"I understand, but that shouldn't make you ignore me completely" Ben made me walk away from the walk way and we both leaned on the pillar of the hall, his hand holding my waist.
"It's alright. I miss you!" I never meant to say that, but I couldn't help it. I have always loved the way Ben make me feel.
"I miss you more you know" Ben replied and at that moment, I got a glimpse of Funmi walking by and shaking her head. I had always thought she was missing out and sure she was, but then I saw someone else, Kunle walking by with my course mate Joseph.
"Ben, please leave me alone!" I screamed within.
"I have to go now" I loosed myself from Ben's grip, praying Kunle wouldn't have seen me with Ben.
I tried to catch up with Kunle and Joseph as Ben said goodbye. Luckily, Kunle and Joseph stopped to exchange some papers from the bag Kunle was holding.
"Good afternoon Joseph" I turned to Joseph who I hardly ever talk to except necessary.
"Lilian, how are you today?" Joseph said without looking at me for two seconds.
"I'm fine. Good afternoon cutie" I turned to Kunle winking at him and I could see his eyes taking a trip around my petite, yet sexy body well dressed in a denim skirt and a tucked in blouse.
"You look good. I must admit" Kunle winked at me with a smile.
"Thank you!" My stomach was bubbling at his compliment.
"Please, if I won't be too forward, can I have the contact of this damsel? I'll like to know you beyond this" Kunle smiled as he gave me his ¡phone.
"Here you go. Lilian is the name" I handed him back his phone and walked away.
All the while, Joseph had his hands on his waist listening to our conversation. I knew he had different thoughts on his mind, but I cared less. I didn't want to turn back. I knew for sure Kunle would be admiring my butt.
"I can't wait to give Funmi the full gist" I smiled as I walked into the hall.
******
"Do you know what happened today?" I was still feeling elated as myself and Funmi made for her car.
"You had your usual 'great time' with Ben" Funmi replied using her fingers to make some sign in the air while she rolled her eyes.
"No naw! I know you saw me with Ben, but Ben is not the issue now" I continued.
"Josh or what other guy? I'm sure it must be about a guy. Don't you ever get tired?" Funmi asked with disgust written on her face as she sat in the drivers seat of the car waiting for me to come in.
"Kunle got my number and he admires me" I screamed as I sat beside her in the car.
"Congratulations! A new star to your medals" Funmi turned on the ignition switch and drove off towards our lodge. The drive home was unusually quiet and I knew she wasn't in support of my new joy.
"I can't do without sex!" I recall telling Funmi during one of her 'spiritual' counseling.
"You can do without sex if you're determined!" Funmi had almost burst into tears as she tried to convince me, but I wasn't having any of that.
I had always craved to try out different guys. I always wanted to satisfy my urge and any guy available would do and that was why I kept many of them, but I could never explain to Funmi as she hardly ever gave me the audience.

DONT FIGHT, IT'S A TEST

DON'T FIGHT, IT'S A TEST.

I was having my morning devotion when God was pointing out some things to me about the story of HANNAH, this is it.

1. People know of her problem and she has never missed a Shiloh
2. They mock her, call her names and make her feel like God don't even care about her problems
3. God only will delay prayers because the testimony attached to it is bigger than the problem and greater than the delay
4. There will always be a Shiloh that will be different from every other ones she has ever attended
5. When God will finally hears and answer the prayers, their will always be the PROPHET that will mistake your silent prayer for DRUNKENNESS.

This is the instruction, so listen carefully...

The journey won't be smooth, the prayer won't be always be answered earlier than you want or later than you expect but whenever you meet this PROPHET-LIKE people in life, DONT FIGHT, ITS A TEST. I repeat DON'T FIGHT, IT'S A TEST

WHEN YOU IT SEEMS LIKE GOD ISNT DOING ANYTHING, THATS WHEN HE'S DOING THE MOST.

I'd leave this here, may God open your inner eyes so you can read in between the lines.

Learning And Unlearning

Being an adult takes a lot of learning and unlearning.

While growing up, there is a song they do sing in my church which I never for once had the chance to understand the lyrics or see anyone to tell me what exactly they are singing.

There is this excitement that I always feel whenever the song is being sang. Honestly, its not a song they sing every time but occasionally (occasions like retreat or rally)

What I used to hear as a kid;

Chorus:
August Children
August Children (ooh)
August Children
To be Gust Children you've gotta be bore nagae

I don't even know what they say in the verses....

What is actually in the book;

All God's Children
All God's Children
All God's Children
To be Gods Children you've gotta be born again.

Funny enough, the wrong one which I've always heard in my head is what I grew up singing with confidence till the day I actually came across the correct lyrics.

How Story 001

I was driving down the slow lane a few hours back, I realized that a bike man was asked to stop for not having his helmet on.
I parked and moved close just to see what's going on.

Lo and behold, the man would be set free if he could pay #2,500.
But he pleaded that the money left on him is less than #500.

I felt his pain and I stepped into the scene to help.
I handed over to the policemen new notes of #3000

The bike man was grateful, he tried to prostrate but I prostrated saying
"Good evening sir, I am sure you can't remember my face again but I can never forget your face sir."

He was shocked and was trying to go through memory lane, yet he couldn't figure it out where we ever met.

I further explained "I am the boy from your class back then in secondary school that always came 13th out of 15 students in class and I remember vividly how you will laugh at every mistake we made while trying not be mute whenever you asked us question and we replied with wrong answers instead.

He now remembered the face and how it was back then, he wasn't sure if to apologize or tell me thank you.

I explained myself further by saying: "Nothing pained me more than how you always tell us that people like us who can't provide simple answer to simple question will end up saying yes sir to the brilliant ones in future, but I'm glad to tell you today that I'm the Group Managing Director of Multidynamic World and also Editorial writer of a few writing firm. I dont deserve it all but grace changed my story and I'm here today."

The man hugged me and soaked my brown starched T-shirt with mucous-filled tears.

The shout of the conductor in the nearest bus stop was all I heard. I could hear the usual colloquial accent  saying "Oga we don reach Maryland and you enter for Yaba say you dey go Anthony but na sleep you sleep pass your bus stop.

I couldn't believe it was dream all through, but the sleep worth more in the end.

The result of a stress filled day!

Moral of the lesson:

1. Don't look down on any student, the weakest might be the strongest tomorrow.

2. Always remind the bus conductor to wake you up when they get to your bus stop.

3. Even if you sleep in the bus, have a sweet dream.

PAMILERIN Episode 10

Episode 10 (Finale)

Pamilerin was discharged from the hospital three days after the hospital bills were paid. Mr Nelson had promised to take us home and he did.

Pamilerin soon got really better. In less than two weeks, the POP on her hand was removed and she was free to do some things on her own now, but with care.

None of us resumed school that term. Myself and Busola sometimes hawked for Mummy but she was never comfortable with it.
"I don't want you to become street kids" she will say. But we kept persisting always.

After two months, Mr Nelson brought Pamilerin's sponsorship confirmation. Mummy's joy knew no bounds as she signed the papers.

Pamilerin resumed school the following term. Myself and Busola had to resume to a public school to cut expenses.

We all missed a term in our school session and Mummy feared we might fail drastically. At the end of the term, Busola was outstanding in her class. Though she is intelligent, but it turned out to a great surprise how she came out with such a good result despite all that happened to her months before.

Pamilerin' Math Teacher had given the average people in Primary 5 and 6 a scholarship form for them to fill and to submit with a certain sum.

At first, Mummy felt she doesn't need it but later gave her the money
"You can try it to gain experience" Mummy said.

The scholarship exam came up three weeks after 3rd term resumption and each participant had to travel to the State capital for the exam.

Pamilerin was scared when she saw other pupils from other schools
"This people are more intelligent than me. I should have adhered to what mummy adviced" she almost felt discouraged.

The results was soon out and Pamilerin was one of the best ten pupils that was picked to be sponsored all through their Secondary School.

Mummy couldn't stop singing and dancing when she heard the News.

Pamilerin sponsorship was active and now a scholarship through secondary school when she was almost through with Primary school, I kept admiring her.

The money from Pamilerin's sponsorship was directed to other things including we the elder ones. We soon moved from that slum to a better place and Mummy's business was booming too.

"I can call it a slum now because Oluwapamilerin!" peace out!

*The End*

PAMILERIN Episode 9

Episode 9

Mummy kept crying through the journey back home. She narrated all her ordeals and what happened to Pamilerin. It was too much for me and I dropped a tear too.

We soon got to Mummy's new abode and I almost puked at the way the surrounding was.
"I came to ask my sister for a financial support for Pamilerin hospital bills" mummy explained as she turned the knobs to a door amongst many that was lined up in rolls.

I dropped my bag and followed her out. She was heading for the hospital.

I met Busola all alone with Pamilerin and Pamilerin was calmly asleep.

"Welcome ma! The Doctor asked us to buy these things." Busola handed a paper with inscription on it to Mummy.

"But I don't have any money with me again" Mummy lamented.

"What are you doing here?" Busola asked shaking my hands
"It's a long story my dear" Mummy replied before I could say a word.

Mummy went out of the hospital ward and I couldn't get my eyes off Pamilerin. I wish there was something I could do to help her.
"I thought schools resumed today. Why are you not in school?" Busola cut me from my thoughts.

I explained my ordeal to her and all that happened while I was away. She also told me how she had to continue working as a Shop Keeper because Mummy can't afford her school fees at the moment and since it's a new school year, she needs new books and that will attract more expenses.

A cough from Pamilerin stopped our conversation. We both rushed to her bed side like she was about to fall. She gave me a faint smile and I smiled back, holding her left hand. She soon slept off again.

"The Doctor said those drugs will make her strong again, but where is the money to get them quickly?" Busola said as we both sat on the vacant bed in the ward.

Mummy soon came in with a man. We were not sure of his identity, but at least mummy was smiling so there was no reason to fear.

We greeted this man and he answered casually, rushing towards Pamilerin.

"I'm sorry about this ma! I never knew it will become this serious." said the man turning to Mummy.

"I came to your shop the next day and someone told me you had left. I just came around this area to buy some things when I saw you from a distance" continued the man now resting his arm on the bed head.

Mummy explained how she was kicked out of the shop that day and how Pamilerin got to the hospital "I was there to see if any of my neighbor there could lend me some money to buy the prescription for Pamilerin" Mummy explained to the man.

"He's Mr. Nelson. The man that hit Pamilerin" Busola whispered.

Mr. Nelson and Mummy both went out and they came back a moment later with a Doctor and a Nurse carrying a tray containing some things.

We were asked to leave the room and we all trooped out to wait at the door.

Some days later, Pamilerin could sit up and joke, smile and talk with us. We had to stay with her while Mummy went to get money.

Mr. Nelson came again and this time with some strangers. We heard them talking with Mummy but we didn't understand what they were saying because we didn't hear them clearly.

They gave Mummy a file and Mr Nelson gave her some money as usual, like he was used to it or it was a compulsion.

"They are going to sponsor Pamilerin till age eighteen!" Mummy exclaimed rushing into the hospital ward
"They have agreed to pay her hospital bills and they will be here tomorrow to sort the payment out." Mummy fell on her knees crying.

I couldn't stop smiling where I was sitting even though a part of me wished I was the one being sponsored...

PAMILERIN Episode 8

PAMILERIN by O'nezer

Episode 8

That evening, the caretaker of the shop came for the rent. He had promised to kick Mummy out if she couldn't pay the pending rent
"there are a lot of people who are ready to pay. You have to go!" he had said.

Mummy quickly took the money Mr. Nelson gave Pamilerin together with the little she had sold for the day, but it didn't even sum up to half of the rent.

She showed it to the man, but he was adamant and kept insisting on throwing her and her goods out. Some other shop owners were already there pleading on her behalf, but it all fell on his deaf ears.

She called a tricycle and started packing her goods into bags. Her immediate neighbor came around to help her pack and console her as she couldn't stop crying even if she tried.

Everything was set and when herself and Pamilerin was out of the shop, she looked back and sniffed deeply, "we really have to leave this place." she said helping Pamilerin down the steep stairs.

She pleaded with the Landlord to allow her leave her goods at an empty passage in the corner of the house. He agreed and she moved the goods there.

Busola came home to the bad news and she joined in crying too until she was tired.

Later that night Pamilerin started getting worse. She was wailing bitterly in pains. They couldn't watch her through the night in such pain.

Mummy rushed to call a co-tenant who had a car and Pamilerin was rushed to the hospital. After much test and X-rays, it was discovered that she had "Green stick fracture."  her hands in POP was three times its size.

She was admitted to the hospital and Mummy had to deposit all the money on her to commence treatment.

When it was day break, she left Pamilerin with Busola and head for her sister’s place where I, Ayomide, live.

Mummy got there 9:15am and she met Ayomide washing a car in front of the house. She was hoping to see her sisters kids too but the house was empty.

"Ayomide, why are you not in school?" Mummy asked.

I only smiled and said "nothing."

"Where is your Aunty?" she asked

"She is upstairs" I told her making a turn like to show her the way.

"You look somehow different? I know it's been a while I saw you last but, Ayomide are you alright?" she felt really concerned and couldn't leave me.

"I am not fine Mummy" I smiled tearfully.
"I have become an house boy here and I have not been in school all the while. I am an errand boy to all the children in the house even those younger than me." I explained.

She was out of words and kept staring at me. She wanted to speak but it seems the words were locked up in her throat.

"You haven't been feeding well or feeding at all too?" she said feeling my hands and my neck.

"Yes" I smiled
"It serves as my punishment each time I delay to do a task."

"I'm done for!" Mummy clapped her hands on her head.

Her sister came out at that instance. She was rushing out mumbling some words. Apparently she was coming to lash me for not washing the car on time.

"Oh Bimpe, how are you doing? I didn't know you were here o!" she said quite scared than confident.
"And you couldn't bring her inside Ayomide?" she asked directing mummy to come inside.

Mummy refused to follow her. She broke down in tears and vent her heart out to her sister
"You are the least person I expected this from. I never knew you to be this wicked."

"I didn't do anything!" My Aunty tried to defend herself. But she couldn't find the right words for defense.

"Ayomide, go inside and pack your things. You are leaving here with me right now!" Mummy said angrily.

I tried to feign like I didn't want to go but immediately I saw her eyes turning towards me, I quickly dropped the napkin in my hand and rushed in.

When I came out, I met my Aunt and mum in a serious uproar. Mummy took my hand and we left the house.......

Episode 7

"Will you just be calm and start getting used to it!" Mummy exclaimed furiously.

Busola felt shocked. She hasn't seen her mum in such mood in a long while.

Mummy walked pass her to the door calling out for Pamilerin.
"Aunty welcome!" she greeted Busola with a warm smile.

"Are you growing or what? Within some months you have changed from the Pamilerin I use to know." said Busola as she pulled Pamilerin closer.

"'Pamilerin, I know all that had happened this school year affected your result. But I don't want you to relax. You have to shake it off and be the Pamilerin I use to know. You are intelligent and you can do better than this, don't let our situation get you distracted. I will do all I can to see you through school." Mummy spoke to Pamilerin from a corner of the room.

"But those your father’s relatives, God will....." she choked and left the room like she was off to get something.

Pamilerin and Busola stared at each other and gave a deep sigh.

It's been a year already after dad's demise. Mummy's shop rent was now due for payment or she will be kicked out of the shop.

"Busola is to resume school and with at least, half of the term fee before she would be allowed in the hostel. Pamilerin school fees can still wait till the mid of the school term. But what about her books? She needs new books. They both need new books" a knock on the door brought Mummy back from her thoughts.

Pamilerin was behind the man knocking with bandages on her head and her right hand in a POP.
"Jesus! What happened to you My dear" she rushed out of the chair rubbing her hands all over Pamilerin.

"What happened to her" she asked amidst tears.

"She... I... I mistakenly hit her  while she was hawking. I'm really sorry about this ma. I promise to visit her always till she gets better" the man who had brought Mummy out of her thoughts said.

"Not now! Not my baby!" Mummy cried.

After a while, she was calm and she made Pamilerin lay down in a corner of the store.

"Here are the drugs prescribed for her. The dosage is written on it" said the man handing over the drugs to her.

"Please ma, help me buy her beverages with this" he handed her some sum of money.

"I am Mr Nelson. I will be coming back to check on her till she gets better" he bade his farewell and asked if that is Mummy's shop and if he will always meet her there.

Mummy is an easy going woman and she didn't see a need to call the police as advised by other shop owners near her.

She kept watching Pamilerin grit in pain and when she couldn't take it anymore, she closed the shop and they both went home.

That night was a sleepless night has Pamilerin couldn't sleep and she had to be taken to a nearby clinic by Busola and my Mum.

Mummy spent almost all the money on her to pay the bills. She would have stayed home to watch over Pamilerin, but that will mean a cashless tomorrow for her. She kept deliberating till she decided to take Pamilerin with her to the shop.

"Your sister has gone to her shop and I can't leave you here all alone by yourself in this condition."

They were both in the shop for over an hour when Mr. Nelson came again.

He and Mum spoke on the sleepless night and what pain her daughter might be going through.

He put some amount of money in Pamilerin's hand where she was laying before he left.

The other shop owners said "there is more to this man that is coming back every day o" Mummy only smiled in response.....

PAMILERIN

Episode 6

Mummy had opened the shop and went out. She didn't tell us where she was up to and she had been gone for many hours that now worth our fear.

There was so much "why are you not in school?" from other shop keepers nearby and we only replied with "nothing."

Hungry and worried, we sat on a wooden chair in front of the shop. We sold the things we knew the price and when we are not sure of the price "we ask them to come back that mummy isn't around."

We were really worried and Pamilerin was already crying when it was mid-afternoon and Mummy was nowhere to be found.

After a while, we saw her coming from a distance and Pamilerin rushed to meet her. Mummy collapsed on the floor right there before the shop and heaved a deep sigh.

"I'm sorry I left you people without telling you were I was going" she pleaded like she was trying to regain her strength.

Mummy bought some food from a canteen in the shopping center. We all ate and she said "pick your bags, we are going out. Just a bag each" she said.

After what seems like a hour of driving, the taxi came to a halt before a gate in an estate. The houses in the estate looked bigger than our house. Well, it is now our former house.

A gate man opened the gate upon the first knock and he greeted us in a funny accent.
The gate man took the bag from Pamilerin and muttered something like "it is too heavy for her age."

When we came into the house, it was a big surprise to see that my mum's elder sister who had said "Bimpe its okay..." after dad's demise lives in a place this big.

"Daddy never allowed us to visit people anyhow so how would I have known" I thought, trying to justify myself.

She gave us a chilled cup of juice as she sat beside Mummy.

The interior of the house didn't catch our attention so much. The only difference with the house is that "it is bigger than our house. Former house!" I corrected as I kept looking around.

"Let me lead you to your room" my Aunty said and she lead the way to a room quite big like my room. But the bed in here is bigger. I told myself.

"We will be here for some days till I secure a place where we can move to." Mummy told us as we undressed to bath.

The day for us to move came and mummy told me I will have to be here for a while.
"She has promised to take good care of you and she will pay your school fees" she tried to cheer me up. But I really wanted to go with her. I didn't like the idea of living with someone.

"Don't worry dear, you will be fine here. Just be a good boy and I will be checking on you too." Mummy encouraged me as she sat in my Aunts car and Pamilerin followed suit waving me goodbye with one hand and using the other to dab her teary eyes.

I watched the car as it zoomed out of the gate and I looked around at my new house. I rushed inside and cried till I was satisfied.

Mummy and Pamilerin moved in to a room apartment somewhere in town. They now had to share the same bathroom and toilet.

Pamilerin will always complain of being bullied by other tenants kids when Mummy is away.

There were frequent fights with co-tenants fighting over a thing or the other.

It took a while for Pamilerin to get used to this lifestyle and when she finally did, no one could cross her path without having a taste of her gall.

It was the end of a school year already. Mummy went to bring Busola to their new abode. Everything about the place felt strange
"About 10 families living in the same compound?" she turned to her mum to confirm like her mum wasn't sure of what she was saying.

Pamilerin had returned from school and she was in the backyard playing with other kids. She had left her result on the only bed in the room that also served as both chair and table in the room.

Mummy had sighted it immediately she dropped her bag, but Busola was busy looking around like she was in a museum.

"My baby performance is really poor this school year" Mummy lamented.

"Is this how you sleep with the windows broken like this? Busola asked pointing to the shattered window before her.

"Will you just be calm and start getting used to it!" Mummy exclaimed angrily...

PAMILERIN
Story by O'nezer

Episode 5

"We are here for the car" one of them said.

Unknown to us, Mummy had been looking for buyers for Daddys car. They had paid in full into Mummy's account and they were here for the car and its documents.

Mummy opened the gate and we all trooped in. She went into the house and in some minutes she came out with a file.
"That must be the documents of the car" I said to myself wishing I could stop the sale of the car and provide the money. I kept thinking as the men checked out each slip of paper in the file.

Some minutes later, one of the men ignited the car and myself and Pamilerin was directed by mummy to open the gate for them.

We could see tears playing around in Mummy's eyes, Like she was fighting for them to remain there and play a little and not in anyway stroll on her cheeks.

When Busola came back that evening, she was shocked not to see dad's car where it had been packed for months.
"Where is the car?" was what she asked immediately she came in to the house. Mummy explained to her and that night, the house was unusually quiet as we only gave each other a stare till the time of prayer.

The money from the car was just enough for our school fees and Mummy kept the rest to stock the house with food and to buy some things to replenish her shop.

We were growing and our clothes were now becoming old and skimpy, but Mummy told us that isn't the next thing for now.

On the second day of resumption I came home and met Pamilerin panting and crying at the gate.
"What is wrong with you? Why are you crying?" I rushed to her to confirm. Upon coming close, I could hear shouts and screams from the house. I quickly rushed in.

Mummy was rolling on the floor and some of my dad's relative were in the house.

My uncle whom we stayed with after the burial was standing in a corner of the room looking furious. They all looked agitated and I greeted them, but without a response from any of them.

I walked up to where mummy was laying down with Pamilerin following me. I squat beside Mummy and asked her what was going on
"They have asked us to move out of the house Ayomide! They have been calling me names for selling their brother's car without their consent." Mummy wailed bitterly and Pamilerin joined her too.

I didnt know what to do. I looked at their faces and it all seemed made up to see us out of the house before they leave.

I knelt and pleaded with them too, but they didn't give me a side look.

Mummy finally stood up and asked us to go pack our things
"Help Pamilerin with Busola's luggage too" she beckoned

They all stood back and watch as we moved our bags out of the house one after the other. Our continuous cry didn't move any of them an inch.

Mummy waved down a taxi and it took us to her shop. It was already getting late and most shops around were closed for the day.

We moved our luggage in and cleared the goods littered around on the floor to a place. In no time we had enough space on the floor that could contain all three of us for the night.

Mummy went out and soon came back with a loaf of bread and some drinks. We had that for the night and she closed the shop from the inside.

It was stuffy and cold on that floor. They were scary sounds from outside and everywhere seems strange. I tried to imagine what Pamilerin might be thinking but most importantly, what might be going through Mummy's mind.

The night was extremely quiet save for the quacks from the night hawks and the funny sounds of things running helter skelter in the shop. That night seems to be the longest night of my life and same with Pamilerin.

She told me in the morning of how scared she was all through the night. She said
"Each time I opened my eyes, I felt like someone was looking at me and when I close them, it seems something was here to carry me away." she explained and a tear dropped.

Obviously there was no way we could get to school that day
"Busola is lucky. She is in a boarding school and she will be in school today" Pamilerin tapped me where I was sitting in the corner of the shop.
"But how will she know where we are when they are on holiday?" She asked as she sat beside me.

"Mummy will tell her during their parent visiting day" I told her. I haven't even thought of that myself. I had only been thinking of spending another night in this scary shop.

Mummy had opened the shop and went out. She didn't tell us where she was up to and she had been gone for many hours that now worth our fear........

PAMILERIN Episode 4

PAMILERIN
Story by O'nezer

Episode 4

I don't know if I dropped the picture I was holding or it left my hand, but I found myself in the kitchen where the scream came from.

Mummy and Pamilerin was already there and I found Mummy crying while Busola was panting around the kitchen like she just had a fight with someone.

"What is going on here? Why the scream? Mummy why are you crying again?" I asked and before the words left my lips;
"when you will never come to the kitchen because Daddy says you are a man and you have no business in the kitchen, how will you know what is wrong? Spoilt brat!" she cut in angrily.

"Now is the time to unite and not fight my dear" Mummy calmed her down tearfully.

It was when we got to the living room I understood what had happened. All the valuable electronics were missing in the kitchen.

When Mummy finally made it to her room, which used to be hers and dad's, she realized some things were missing from Daddy's luggage too.

His silver wrist watch that was given to him by a foreign friend during his last birthday was missing too.

"And your dad loves that wrist watch so much." Mummy sniffed.
"Now you know what your father people are capable of doing. You can all see it and I know you understand" Mummy said as she drew us closer, sobbing and praying for us.

That evening, we had to bring out an abandoned gas stove to prepare our meal.

Daddy loved gadgets and he loves his electronic appliance to be new or averagely new to prevent any hazard, he will say.

We soon attuned to a new lifestyle without dad. Mummy had a shop in town and her sales from there was what we lived on.

Daddy's Family seems to have forgotten we still exist and mum didn't want to bother anyone in her own family except those who gave voluntarily.

Our house with five rooms seems to be of no use anymore. Mummy contemplated selling it, but she was scared of dad's family reaction.

Busola was in a private school. Her school fees were due. She was soon sent out of school with a note not to resume the following term except the pending fee is cleared.

Mummy wept bitterly upon seeing the note. We all brought a note home from our different schools. Pamilerin who was in a Federal school, one of the best schools in town was Mummy's major concern.

Pamilerin seems to be a precocious girl and daddy had wanted the best school for her so she will be able to improve. But it seems all hope is lost now. Mummy lamented.

"I will run around for the money" Mummy assured us.

During the holidays, myself and Pamilerin hawked my mum's good around town. It was far from home so we had no fear of being seen by our neighbors children. But at a point we cared less
"we just have to eat" we will tease each other.

Busola was now a shop keeper for someone in town too. She earned little from it because her boss always complained of missing goods and she had to deduct the money for the goods from her salary.

A week to resumption, we left the shop early. When we got home, we saw some men at the gate. Though they seem like strangers but mummy welcomed them so well.

"We are here for the car" one of them said...

PAMILERIN Episode 3

Story by O'nezer

Episode 3

In my Uncle house, we were offered meals that we couldn't take due to the heavy heart from losing dad.

Both my dad and mum's family had agreed that it wouldn't be proper for us to return to our house. They said we should overcome the pain a little before moving back.

The first day in my uncle's house was quite as everyone was sober and they all seem to move in a coded way like any movement will invite a ghost to the house.

After taking our bath the next day, we were served hot tea and bread. My kid sister almost ate all the bread given to her. I took all my tea with a little bread while Busola and my mum only drank their tea.

My uncle's wife came to persuade them to eat, but she gave up when they were both unyielding.

The day soon came to an end and it seems we were all accepting reality or probably it was just dawning on us that daddy is dead and we have to move on.

I was only eleven years old when daddy died and Busola my elder sister was 14years old while Pamilerin, my kid sister was 8years old.

I was in Jss2, while Busola was in SS1 and Pamilerin in primary 4. We were all in different schools. That was Daddy's wish and we will never be able to understand why he separated our schools.

The following day my uncle's wife had started engaging me in little errands. She said she doesn't want me to keep lamenting,
"Ayomide, you are the man of the house so you have to be strong." she said while placing her hands on my shoulder.

I soon felt eased of the pain that I will never see daddy again, but a part of me couldn't get my mind off that night and how it all unfold.

My uncle had a son about my age, we played together and talked together but when it comes to errands, "Ayomide!" will be called for.
The few days of living with them, my name and that of Busola almost became a national anthem.

With my uncle speaking in hush tones with his wife and we becoming errands masters, mummy couldn't take it anymore. The attention and sympathy from them only lasted for two days and by the third day, no guest came around to visit her again.

Five days later Mummy asked us to pack our things. My uncle had brought some clothes for us from our home. We packed and Mummy told Uncle that we were ready to go back home tomorrow, he didn't object
"it will be better. So that you will be able to overcome the pain quickly" was his response.

We got home the next day and when we got in, everywhere seems strange. Our uncle had brought us there in his car but he left some minutes after saying he needs to meet up with a meeting in the office.

Aside the fact that Daddy's chair was empty and we couldn't hear his voice anywhere around the house, the whole place felt different and after some moments of staring at Daddy's portrait on the wall, Mummy began to cry uncontrollably.

We cried along and kept consoling each other until we had cried our eyes out and felt relieved.

Mummy laid back on the couch and we all went to our different rooms.

I walked around my room, sat on my bed and stood up to walk around again
"Ayomide, is this what it means to lose your dad? I wish I was a bit older." I said to myself as I reached out for a picture of dad and myself that was pinned to the wall by me.

I recalled the day we took the picture and how I teased daddy that I will look more cute in the picture than he is. We had a striking resemblance and no one could doubt the fact that I am the biological child of Mr. Oluseun Adams.

Those were the thoughts going through my head when I heard Busola scream...

PAMILERIN Episode 2

Story by O'nezer

Episode 2

"He will kill me with words tonight." I murmured within.

Every other day "In Jesus name we pray" was the only thing I normally hear because I really don't know how I always end up sleeping off. My younger sister or mum will be the one to tap me and I'll end up screaming "Amen" thinking we were still praying.

But Daddy's faint voice was now scary. I could hear groans like someone in pain but I was just too scared to open my eyes.

A screeching scream from my mum made me open my eyes. My eyes met with Busola and we both gave a scary but confused shrug.
"Mummy what is wrong with Daddy?"

We all asked in unison as we three bent over Daddy not knowing what to do.

Mummy stood up panting heavily around the room. Praying and pleading to dad to have mercy on her
"You can't leave me now. Our youngest child is just 8years old!" she would exclaim.

Busola at the other end was wailing bitterly. My little sister, 'Lerin as I fondly call her was sitting confused yet crying like to follow suit with the ladies.

My body seems glued to the ground where I was partially laying. I felt I was dreaming but a part of me kept telling me it was real.

After a while of panting and crying, Mummy rushed out of the room and Busola followed. I was too weak to stand up so I laid down there.

After a long minute, Mummy finally appeared, rushing in with a neighbor and Busola rushing to meet up with them.

"Daddy Busola! Daddy Busola!!" our neighbor called out.
"No time to cry. Let us rush him to the hospital!" Mr. James said picking Daddy's hand off the floor.

Mummy, Mr. James and Busola carried dad in a hurried way. I have always known Daddy to be strong but the way his body dangled as they rushed him out made me lose it. I couldn't fight back the tears anymore.

Two hours later, Mummy and our neighbor's wife came in. Myself and my sister, Pamilerin had being staring at each other without uttering a word.

Mum came in repeating the words "he is dead. Why me?" this made us rush and cling to her feet on the floor where she had collapsed to cry her heart out.

"Bimbe, it's okay." My Mum's elder sister consoled. She had rushed over to stay with mum as soon as she had the news of dad's death.

The house was full with guest trooping in and out every now and then. We were well known in Church and dad held a high rank in the office, this made it much easier for my dad "Mr. Oluwaseun Adams" death to invite sympathizers.
But all I wanted was for dad to come back.

Daddy's Family was around too. They gave little or no attention to mum who seems like she just dropped a heavy load. They were like; everything about mum is none of their business.

After the family meeting, they agreed to bury dad a week later and the agenda for the burial was divided as a role to each member of Dad's Family.

"Dust for dust and ashes for ashes" though I was just eleven, but I can still remember those words clearly.

After the prayer from our Church Pastor which was filled with cries and wails rather than the usual "Amen" that normally chorused a prayer, one of dad's younger brothers drove us to his home.

PAMILERIN
Story by O'nezer

Episode 1

On the 8 of August 1995, Dad and mum got back from church a few minutes past 8pm.
My kid sister and I rushed out to get dad's bag and mum's small bag.

While I was carrying Daddy's bag, my kid sister on the other hand was so curious to know if mum had bought her the popcorn and groundnut she promised to get for us when going out in the morning.

We all went into the house. Dad to his room and mum went straight to the kitchen to know if food is ready.

"Busola, what did you cook for us oh? We are so hungry and you know your dad had a long tiring day" Mum asked my big sister who was all alone in the house but didn't see a need to rush out to our parents like we did.

"The little stew that is left in the pot was all I managed to use to make this concoction rice. I assigned my kid sister to have it all in the food flask to keep it warm." Busola explained.

Dad was done with refreshing himself and he was already waiting in the dining room expecting mum to undress and join him also in the dining room.

It was a quarter past 10 when myself, Busola, my little sister and my mum was in dad's room talking about different issues.

Dad said "let us pray. Tomorrow is Sunday; we shouldn't be late for the service."

I ought to kneel down as well as others but I don't know why I felt a bit reluctant to kneel.

In a glimpse, I saw dad lying down and not leading the prayer.

His eyes was fixed on me and it made me feel he was giving me that look of "you are not in the prayer mood" and I quickly knelt down even though his sudden posture was strange to me.

While waiting for the prayer to commence, the hoarse voice that usually kick start the prayer was very faint.

Daddy occasionally do lay down on the floor to pray and I believe it was one of those days..

I knew the look in his eyes was not so good and I began to fear the aftermath of his reaction after the prayer,
"He will kill me with words tonight." I murmured within....

CORPER WALE Episode 8

Story by O'nezer
Episode 8 {Finale}

Wale tried to go back to his daily activities hoping it would distract his mind a bit but he couldn't get his mind off the demise especially Ayomide
"Maybe she wants to live on in my mind and maybe that was why I saw that girl in the hospital looking just like her" he lamented.

Wale moved back to his apartment a month later partially strong enough to move on but he only looked strong enough to the eyes "we almost lost him too you know" Wale's dad said to his wife as they watched him drive out of the gate into the open street.

"Welcome back home!" Wale threw himself into the couch "I wish you were here to kiss me welcome" he stared at the portrait of Josephine on the wall but before he could settle in with the thought his phone beeped.

"Wale, where are you?" His friend Gideon asked on the other end
"I'm back at my apartment" Wale replied.
"I'll be there in some minutes" Gideon said.

Ten minutes later Gideon rushed into the house "I know I shouldn't say this but I saw a girl today and she looks so much like... Like... Ayomide" Wale stood up in a hurry to get what his friend was saying
"Don't do this to me" Wale warned as he recalled the girl he met at the entrance of the hospital.

"I heard seeing someone who looks like our lost loved ones can help us overcome the loss quickly. I can take you to her, that is, if you want to" Gideon continued.

"Not a bad idea" Wale agreed after a brief moment of thought.

Gideon was in a haste to take Wale to the restaurant where he saw the girl "What if she had left already..." many thoughts rushed through Gideon's mind as he drove towards the restaurant
"But what will her father feel seeing me trying to be his daughter's friend?" Wale asked.

Gideon shrugged as Wale packed his car before the restaurant "I don't know why I'm doing this but I think we should see how it unfolds first" Gideon encouraged.

"Joan!" Wale screamed in disbelief
"What are you doing here?" Wale continued walking up to Joan his girl during his service year.
"I've been in this area for a year now. I own this place" Joan smiled astonished and feeling bitter at the same time.
"It's one of the best restaurant around" Gideon called out from behind looking everywhere to get a glimpse of the little girl he came for.

"So what should we serve you?" Joan asked smiling at the men who looked curious and Gideon who now seemed more curious saw a girl who happens to be Joan's daughter run past Joan.
"That's the girl" Gideon pointed not minding Joan's presence.
"What girl?" Joan asked the two.

"Please I'm sorry for everything I did to you then" Wale had waited behind just to plead with Joan knowing fully well the girl is most likely the pregnancy he insisted on aborting five years ago during NYSC.
Joan was adamant and refused Wale's plea.

Six months later Joan and Wale settled their differences. Though Joan had cursed to make Wale pay for every pain she went through and the wasted years of taking care of his daughter under much pressure and sometimes penury as she couldn't stand the disappointing look from her parents.

"I hope this teaches you and other friends like you a lesson not to drag what they can't handle" Wale's mum snapped meeting Joan and her daughter Precious who happens to be Mrs Richardson first grandchild.

"She really looks like Ayomide" Wale's dad complimented as he approved Wale and Joan's idea of getting married.

The END.

CORPER WALE Episode 7

Story by O'nezer
Episode 7

Two years later life turned a new leaf for Wale. The happy marriage became sour since the day he got a phone call asking him to rush down to the family hospital after which he was told his wife and two year old daughter are in a critical condition after a ghastly car-crash"

Wale couldn't believe his ears "no it can't be..." he dialed Josephine's number but there was no one at the receiving end. He dashed to his car in the parking lot with the speed of light.
"God please keep my treasure for me" Wale kept praying.

Getting to the hospital, he was welcomed with the presence of His parents and youngest sister in deep tears "I need to see them" Wale screamed bitterly.

"Not now" Wale's dad pulled him closer leading him to the Doctor's office as he was unsure of how Wale would take the News if he broke it to Wale himself.

"I don't understand!" Wale cried as tears streamed down his face.
"I'm sorry sir but we did all we could to save them" the Doctor explained.

"Your best was not enough!" Wale screamed hitting the table before him refusing to be consoled by his dad's calming.
"A dead wife that is three weeks pregnant and my beautiful Ayomi, but why?" Wale cried.

The journey back home from the hospital was a bitter one for the family as they were all quiet amidst sniffs. No one dared to utter a word to Wale all through "Wale loved this girl with his soul, how is he going to cope?" Wale's dad shook his head at the thought.

Wale became a known stranger to the family after the burial "my past must be catching up with me" Wale cried alone in his apartment. He had refused the offer of his youngest sister staying with him "I'll be fine" he said.

"Wale, Wale!" Wale's younger sister screamed meeting Wale laying on the bare floor gasping for breath. It had been a week since he came to the office after the one year remembrance of Josephine and Ayomide's demise.

"He has a stomach ulcer. It seems he hasn't been eating for a while and it's beginning to affect him rapidly" The Doctor said.

"I'm done for!" Wale's mum screamed as his dad placed his hand on his chin staring at the Doctor.
"Please, do all you can to save him alive" Wale's dad pleaded.

Wale was hospitalized for almost two weeks. The Doctor kept him on observation and gave him antidepressants drugs to keep him on check before being discharged
"Sir, you have to pull yourself together. You can't undo what has happened" the Doctor advised after discharging him.

"Wow!... This girl looks like young Ayomide" Wale's sister beckoned to her mum in a whisper as they were stepping out of the hospital.
"What is it with your imagination now?" Her mum shrugged but Wale already heard the whisper. Making a turn to see the child, he saw a girl about five years old looking so much like his Ayomide.
"Ayomi" Wale called out beside his father.

He rushed to meet the child who was being held by the hand by a woman who didn't look like Josephine or any woman he had ever met
"I'm sorry. She looks so much like my daughter" Wale pleaded with the woman who was holding the little girl hand.

Wale walked back to join the crew who had been watching him from a distance "Wale, you need to man up" Wale's dad warned as they all got into the car
"But how can you man up when all you love crushes before your face in a twinkle" he turned to his father with a questioning look as he slammed the car door close.

The drive home was quiet saving the songs coming from Wale's sister phone from the back seat.
"She looks so much like my Ayomi" was all that went through Wale's mind till they got to the Estate gate of his parents house.

"You can't go back there all by yourself" Wale's parents turned down his plea to go back to his apartment.

"Oh Ayomi" Wale blew into the air as he alighted from the car.
